How much do you remember about the Donald Trump presidency? Do you remember the daily texts, and the stress of what stupidity was coming out of his mouth next? Do you remember Charlottesville? Do you remember him saying he wanted to shoot people coming into our country seeking asylum? Do you remember how he tanked multiple immigration deals? Do you remember how he disbanded the emergency response teams that Obama had in place to deal with communicable diseases? Do you remember how he pretended not to know that white supremacists supported him? Do you remember him fomenting an insurrection, and then watching it unfold? Do you remember stealing a Supreme Court seat?

The Republican party as we know it is over. The once great party of Lincoln has been compromised by entryist and fascists. There’s no way that we can say that the Republican party, and the do-nothing Congress that they’ve created, are any good for this nation. At every turn, they thwart the will of the American people, whether it be from access to birth control, to a woman’s right to control her own body, to enacting sensible gun control to help save our children, neighbors, and selves from mass violence. They show it by courting tyrants, against the very idea of the freedom, a term which they’ve co-opted but have no idea what it means. The time has come to part ways, folks. The Republican party is dead. Don’t be afraid to let them go.
