Leave the Woman Alone

Seriously. A woman who was approved to compete by the IOC just won a medal. But on the way to that medal, Americans somehow saw a reason to weigh in on whether or not she’s a woman. It’s ridiculous, really. Those of us who are buying into this thought process are problematic. Why? Because we’re not the IOC. We don’t make the rules for what a woman is (and trust us, there are a lot of such rules). Why are we upset about this?
