What Makes a News Cycle

Turn on the news, and listen to the headlines. What do you hear? If you’re like me, you’re hearing about the rematch between two older white men in trying to be the president of the United States. You’ll hear about how much older one seems than the other, you’ll hear about how much one group is leading the other. What won’t you hear about? How one of those politicians tried to overthrow our nation. Here at Right and Freedom, we don’t lambast the media. As for profit organizations, we get that they need to make money. The best way to make money is to represent the political battles as heavyweight fighting championships.

That’s the exact wrong way to do it though. There’s only one person in the ring who has tried to deprive Americans of our vote. Only one mismanaged the COVID-19 pandemic by disbanding the readiness group that Obama put into place. Trump has literally squandered American lives on his ego. In this case, there is a right and a wrong, and walking the “middle ground” may be good for profits, but it’s horrible for the nation as it has the net effect of normalizing the extremes of the Republican party. Learn more about this in this episode of Right and Freedom.
