Low-Information Voting
Do you know whether or not you’re a low-information voter? One big difference between cities and more rural settings is that in the cities, people are generally very much plugged-into politics. This is for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that a lot of corporations are headquartered in cities. This is, in part, why we see rural communities breaking for Republicans. If you live in one of those communities, it’s far more likely that you’re a low-information voter than fully informed. Also, if you’re working 70+ hours a week and then spending family time, you’re not probably plugged into the news either. So when these things happen, like the Republicans having essentially the rough equivalent of a Nazi rally in Madison Square Gardens, you probably haven’t heard about it, or haven’t heard it presented that way.
Please take some time now to inform yourself, because talk radio isn’t going to do it. Donald Trump needs your ignorance to enact his hateful agenda. Don’t let him.
