Coming to America
Shoot migrants in the legs, or build an alligator moat. Remember when the truth of what Trump was saying in the oval office came out? In the book The Room Where It Happened, John Bolton shocked the world with his reveal that Trump actually was considering using the federal government to shoot migrants in the legs (as stated). We reeled from the idea of the alligator moat, that one human being would consider doing that to another. Donald Trump’s got nothing on Greg Abbott.
So where do we stand on shoving migrants back into the dangerous toiling waters of the Rio Grande? What about floating buoys out into the middle of the river, connected with razor wire, so that migrants already struggling for their lives can find themselves decapitated and drown? The difference between Trump’s proposed cruelty and Abbott’s is that Trump’s cruelty was hypothetical, and Abbott’s cruelty is active and ongoing. Because this isn’t the end of it. Abbott also passed laws that it’s illegal to aid migrants, even just to give them water so they don’t die of dehydration like that truckload of migrants near San Antonio. And the kicker? No matter what anyone on the right tells you, coming to the United States to request asylum is 100% legal. So what Abbott is really doing is attacking legal migrants. Don’t believe me?
