God Knows I’m Good

Nobody cares. Literally nobody cares. We talk about this on this episode of Right and Freedom. We talk about bad people, and people who drive willingly toward obviously bad conclusions. The goodness or badness of the people negotiating the price of a slave does nothing to alleviate the suffering of the slave, does it? Whether or not you feel like you’re a good person while you’re voting for someone who is bent on ripping rights away from others, or whatever moral rationalization you’re doing to make that work, has no impact on that person from whom those rights are stolen.

Good person? Meh. Bad person? Meh. The woman who died because she couldn’t receive abortion emergency care in Texas won’t come back by virtue of the fact that you consider yourself a good person. Listen to this one all the way through and understand that your goodness or badness doesn’t matter. The outcome of the decisions you make is what matters.
