No Justice…or No Peace

Not the justices themselves. Yeah, we’re doing round two of the mifepristone ban conversation. From our perspective, what it comes down to is the Supreme Court upholding or blocking the federal judge ban. If they uphold (only a year after overturning Roe v. Wade, b/c of “state’s rights”).  But then, they prove that the new supreme court is part of the boys club, and is dead.

But they might do it. Why? Because there’s no repercussion for them not doing it. The supreme court justices are by and far the most problemmatic branch of government b/c they can’t be fired. Or if they are, the only way it’s likely to happen is if both the legislative and executive branches are the same party *and* the justice in question is in a different party. Why? We get into it in this episode.
