Threat to Democracy

Elon Musk posted a question, and an important one: why was there no assassination attempt for the Biden campaign? This is an interesting question, especially considering who asked it. This is a fair question, but also must be considered fairly. What threat is Joe Biden to anyone? Is someone’s livelihood at risk for JB creating the “best stock market ever”? Nope. So why the comparison?

It’s easy. It’s crybaby stuff. Elon probably isn’t invested in any one political party. Why would he be? If you were the wealthiest person in the world, would you tie yourself inseparably to a political party? No. I wouldn’t either. Why not? Because it’s all down-side. That said, I might find it expedient to temporarily align myself with a particular party. And in that case, my goal (to protect my investment) would be to try to ensure that dirt doesn’t stick to my chosen party, and does stick to the other.There’s no world in which I would not be trash-talking the opposing party.
