The Kids Aren’t All Right

Not your kids. This isn’t the white kids, and largely not American kids. That’s kind of mid-thought, so let me take you back. Child labor laws are under attack across the country. This isn’t something that we at Right and Freedom are speculating on, this is from an article at the Economic Policy Institute. Meat-packing plants are employing children as young as 14 in Alabama, many of whom are from immigrant families who have few safety protections already. “Systemic” violations of labor laws were found across the nation. What’s the answer to this problem? Are the right-wing politicians are responding to these violations by enforcing the standards more? Are they holding corporations accountable?

Child labor violations are up, and the Republicans are systematically responding by deregulating. That’s the opposite of what we need, and it’s not even the most asinine thing happening on the right at the moment.
