It’s Raining Wins

Pharmaceutical companies aren’t completely evil. Without them, we wouldn’t have things like, for example, the COVID-19 vaccine. But when they’re making record profits and people’s quality of life is diminishing because we can’t afford the pills needed to keep us alive…well, something’s got to give. And as it turns out, that give is coming at the request of the Biden Administration. That’s right, for the first time in years, Medicare can flex on the drug companies when discussing drug prices. The impacts of this are legion, and will be felt for decades as more and more drugs become more reasonably priced, all while not negatively impacting drug research (in fact, potentially making drug research safer too).

What’s a Biden to do to get a recognized win? Apparently world peace, because nothing else seems to be noticed in the political ecosystem. Win after win, and people are still complaining about how old Biden is. Well, despite what you may have thought we meant in our prior episode, Biden is killing it and we say, if that’s the case, don’t rock the boat. And we’ll continue to say that right up until the election.

But this podcast episode isn’t really just about wins. It’s also about COVID-19 and our response to it. It’s on the rise again folks, and we’ll get into some of what we did to stay safe.
