Occam’s Razor

Did a ring-tone activate sleepers in the United States? Did Donald Trump win the election? Jewish space lasers? Will the government start brainwashing citizens under the guise of ‘deprogramming’?

Slow down.

Take a breath.

It’s okay.

None of the above, absolutely none of it, are true. These are rumors floated around to see if they work, and they don’t. But these are undeniably claims that people in our country actually believe? Why? Kind of…we asked for it.

How else do you hold in your mind the dual concepts of freedom and individual liberty, while having another human being working in your fields? We are a nation practiced in self-deception, and so it’s no wonder that we have a tenuous relationship with the truth at best. What about police brutality, something which actually is a problem? We’ve looked the other way as a nation for generations while doing the exact wrong thing. Now, we are waking up to it. And this little thing we call ‘woke’ is emblematic of the idea that we can shake off the malaise, and rise to the occasion at hand, building a future for all Americans.
