Crime and Sort-Of Punishment (Maybe)
Donald Trump has already been held guilty according to the law. He's appealing to determine whether or not he can get off. Could you do that? Or are there two justice systems in the United States? We've said it before: there are more than two. Yes, there's the wall between the rich and the poor. There's also the difference between the way minorities are treated and white folks. Case in point? Donald Trump's bail. He can post that bail because he's rich. Would you be able to do the same? Absolutely not. Not unless you're also independently wealthy. The facts are simple. There's no meritocracy in America, nor can there be, until the application of law is applied equally to everyone, politicians, rich people, poor people, Black people, White people. All of these people need to be treated the same by the justice system. That's exactly why Justice wears a blindfold.
