Candid Conversation

Don’s back, and we’ve got a lot to talk about. We start off discussing Ukraine. The war there is a terrible tragedy and the people who have been murdered or whose homes have been destroyed have our sorrow. Do more, do more — we would all like to do more. But what does it mean to do more when we’re supplying financial aid, food, and weapons to Ukraine? Full-on confrontation. That’s the actual next escalatory step. Should we take it?

Christina brings us a dose of reality about what it’s like being poor and having to pay for things like insulin. 90+ percent of the Republicans in the house simply refused to vote for the medical bill. How will it fare in the Senate? We’re not sure, but we hope that it passes. But insulin isn’t the only problem. We’ve also got cancer drugs and others that fall into this category. Surely we can all agree that letting people die when we could save them is a bad thing?
