Above the Law
In America, we pride ourselves on the fact that nobody is above the law. Nobody. This used to be a thing that both Democrats and Republicans agreed on. We should all be held accountable when we’re doing things that we shouldn’t do. Period.
Lately, Republicans are singing a different tune. It’s a tune we know well, because we’ve seen it throughout history: law for thee but not for me. That’s it. They think that the former president shouldn ‘t be held accountable for his actions.
We disagree.
We think that anyone who tries to overthrow our government is a huge problem, and should be dealt with accordingly. Let the jury figure out guilt or innocence, but the man needs to stand trial for what he is alleged to have done. And let’s be very clear: we at Right and Freedom think he’s as guilty as sin. Shall we go through what we already know?
He didn’t call off the rioters attacking the capital.
He helped convince an illegal slate of electors to play ball across multiple states.
He tried to convince the Governor of Georgia (among others) to cheat and say he got votes he clearly didn’t get.
….
The list goes on and on. But regardless of what we think, we as a nation deserve to have a trial and uncover the details of what happened here.
